Autumn, 1976: Larry posts the now-famous note
Larry Mullen, Jr. posts a note on the bulletin board at Dublin's Mount Temple Comprehensive School seeking other musicians to start a band. The group of students' first meeting is at Larry's house; they set up in the kitchen, and play the Rolling Stones' "Brown Sugar" and "Satisfaction." The entire group includes Larry, Dave and Dik Evans, Adam Clayton, Paul Hewson, Peter Martin, and Ivan McCormick.
*A famosa nota.
November, 1978: Larry loses his Mum
Larry's mother, Maureen, is killed in a car crash; her death affects Larry as deeply as the death of Bono's mother affected Bono some four years earlier.
March 8, 1985: Larry heads to hospital with hand pain
Prior to a show in San Francisco, Larry is rushed to a hospital with severe pain in his left hand. The doctor orders him to take two weeks off to rest the hand, but the band explains that is not an option. Larry is given a plaster for his hand which can be removed for the duration of each show, and pain killers to take until he can get proper treatment.
April, 1990: Larry writes and plays for Irish Soccer team
Larry writes and plays drums on "Put 'Em Under Pressure," the official anthem of Ireland's 1990 World Cup soccer team.
October, 1995: Larry and Anne give birth to a son
Rumors abound that Larry and his longtime girlfriend, Anne Acheson, have given birth to a child. The boy is named "Aron Elvis," although no official confirmation of the birth is ever announced by the band or by management.
*Sobre o nascimento de Aaron.
May, 1996: Larry and Adam's Mission:Impossible released
Larry and Adam's version of "Mission: Impossible" is released, reaching the Top 10 in the U.S., U.K., and elsewhere around the world.

At the aforementioned London Astoria show, Bono announces to the crowd that Larry Mullen and his longtime partner Anne Acheson are parents for the third time. It's revealed days later by Dublin media that the child is a boy, Larry and Anne's second son.
*Sobre o nascimento do 3º filho.
October 31, 2001: Larry turns 40 in Providence, Rhode Island
Larry turns 40 today, and at tonight's concert in Providence Bono leads the crowd in singing 'Happy Birthday'. A cake and champagne are brought on stage. Larry thanks the crowd from Bono's mic while Bono briefly sits at Larry's drums.
August 22, 2002: Bono, Edge, and Larry attend a Corrs wedding
Bono, Edge, and Larry are in attendance as Caroline Corr, drummer with Irish pop band The Corrs, marries Frank Woods on the Spanish island of Mallorca.
PS.
