U2 nas listas da revista Rolling Stone

A revista americana Rolling Stone é pródiga em fazer listas de melhores disso ou daquilo. Nem sempre temos justiça, relevância ou imparcialidade territorial, mas o U2 sempre esteve presente nos ranking organizados por ela. Vamos a um resumo de tudo;

100 Melhores artistas de todos os tempos“:

100 Melhores guitarristas“:

100 Melhores vocalistas“:

500 Melhores discos de todos os tempos“:

100 Melhores discos deste século“:

  • All That You Can’t Leave Behind’ (2000), Nº 13
  • No Line on the Horizon’ (2009); Nº 36
  • How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb’ (2004), Nº 68

100 Melhores discos dos anos 90“:

  • Achtung Baby’ (1991), Nº 4
  • Zooropa’ (1993); Nº 61

100 Melhores discos dos anos 80“:

500 Melhores canções de todos os tempos“:

E ai? Concordam?

  1. Vocês leram isso?

I would describe Bono’s singing as 50 percent Guinness, 10 percent cigarettes — and the rest is religion.

    E depois o Chris Martin falando sobre o U2:

I don’t buy weekend tickets to Ireland and hang out in front of their gates, but U2 are the only band whose entire catalog I know by heart. … It’s amazing that the biggest band in the world has so much integrity and passion in its music. Our society is thoroughly screwed, fame is a ridiculous waste of time, and celebrity culture is disgusting. There are only a few people around brave enough to talk out against it, who use their fame in a good way. And every time I try, I feel like an idiot, because I see Bono actually getting things achieved.

Lanois falando sobre o Edge: “The Edge is a scientist, and a poet by night; he’s always got a little rig at home.”

    Muito legal, Guariba. Valeu!
