Hoje o nosso guitar hero faz 50 anos. Uma hora dessas deve estar dormindo e em breve deve acordar para praticar yoga antes de apagar velinhas com a família. Por aqui lembramos através de fotos, brevemente, sua história nas últimas décadas.

The Edge hoje em dia

Faz algum tempo The Edge se reuniu com outros dois renomados guitarristas, Jimmy Page e Jack White, para a filmagem do documentário A Todo Volume (It Might Get Loud, 2008) de Davis Guggenheim. Uma bela homenagem ao mago, David Howell Evans, que pode ser visto abaixo realizando passagem de som com toda a sua simplicidade, durante um trecho do documentário.

    Dear friend and unbelievable musician. Great and bold man, who dares to go where other guitar player never set feet on. The lion brave bloke who gave his soul and heart not only to the most magnificent band ever created but to his family and friends. The soul U2 needs to survive without which nothing of this would have ever been possible. Thank you for being there David, thank you for becoming The Edge, whose sounds have explained what music is all about. Thank you for making me travel to outer space without taking my feet off the ground, for showing me places I can only see with my eyes closed down and my ears, heart and soul wide open. Thank you for teaching me everything I know through the one thing I can fully understand without actually being able to see. 
    I hope everything you ever dreamed of comes to reality and that all the happiness in the world can travel along side you, where ever you go.
